

Above: Bathroom remodel. We removed tub, old toilet & vanity and took the walls back to the studs. Reconfigured the plumbing and replaced the galvanized pipes with 1/2” copper & ABS. installed R-19 insulation in the walls and hung new sheetrock & backer board for tile. Replaced old aluminum sliding window with a Marvin casement window. Made a cherry table to mount the vessel sink upon, Installed oil rubbed bronze faucet, shower valve & shower head. Installed a stationary glass panel in the shower & exhaust fan/light combo, Set floor & wall tile. We Installed a Jeeves heated towel rail with ORB finish and a pine, single lite door.

Above: Kitchen Remodel. Working with Marin Designer, Clare Michael, we brought the room back to the studs and pulled up the old oak floor, insulated the walls and hung new sheetrock. We replaced the drab, painted, plywood kitchen with alder cabinets made by Columbia, Installed stainless steel appliances & sink, new doors, casing & baseboard. The under cabinet lighting, reflecting off the granite counter gives the kitchen a warm, inviting feel.




Above: Kitchen Remodel. Working with Clare Michael Designs. A dramatic transformation was achieved when we remodeled this kitchen. We replaced two aluminum windows with white vinyl windows. The drab oak cabinets were replaced with white Columbia cabinets. We installed a stainless steel sink, appliances and range hood.


Above: Half bath Remodel. This was an office half bath remodel that we did in San Rafael. The office building is an old Victorian house, the existing bathroom had been added in the 1970’s. We removed the old toilet, sink & vanity and lino floor. We set a 12” marble floor tile, installed new baseboard & wainscot. The Kohler Memoir toilet and sink with brush nickel faucet was a perfect fit along with the sage wall paint and the cherry framed mirror.






Above: Bathroom remodel. There was extensive damage to the joists, subfloor, framing & sheetrock in the partition wall due to a leak around the tub. We removed the damaged sections of joists & sistered on new joists. We added a couple of concrete piers and P/T 4x4 posts to support the worst of the damaged joists. We removed the old floor & wall tile along with the mirror wall panels. We replaced the tub, toilet, vanity & shower valve. Installed a light / exhaust fan combo above the shower. Installed crown molding & painted walls, ceiling & trim.
Above: Cedar Deck & Balcony. We removed a failing upper deck that was shading light to the lower rooms of the house. We built this cedar deck and balcony and created a doorway to the deck from the lower level of the house. Pending project: To remove the aluminum sliding patio door & windows and replace with four Marvin windows to match the other divided lite windows.
